Students across the district’s K-8, middle and high schools were invited to attend the event organized in partnership with Black Students of California United (BSCU).

San Juan Unified School District Superintendent Melissa Bassanelli recently received a medical diagnosis that requires her to take a medical leave of absence. During her absence, Chief of Staff Trent Allen will serve as the primary point of contact.

During the 2024-25 school year, select San Juan Unified School District teachers and students participated in a program to evaluate two generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools for students. As a result of the evaluation of these tools, San Juan Unified has purchased a license for Magic Student for grades 2 and above.

Students from across San Juan Unified School District had the opportunity to explore their futures in higher education at El Camino Fundamental High School on Sept. 18 during this year’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) recruitment fair, hosted in partnership with United College Action Network (U-CAN)
