We currently have a couple open spots for the spring semester. Please reach out to sevans@sanjuan.edu if you would like to learn more about a mid-year transfer.

If you are interested in applying for the 2026-27 school year, the Open Enrollment process for SJUSD is open until January 23rd.  After that students may be placed on a waitlist.

1. Fill out this interest form to schedule a campus visit and learn more about our learning environment.
2. After your visit, the student should complete this Meraki application to share more about their interests and experiences related to independent study.

If you reside in a district outside of San Juan Unified, a release from your home residence district will be required.  The priority window for inter-district transfers will be in February.  Please follow these steps:

1. Fill out this interest form to schedule a campus visit and learn more about our learning environment.
2. After your visit, the student should complete this Meraki application to share more about their interests and experiences related to independent study.
3.  Submit an  Inter-district Transfer Permit (ITP) through your home district of residency.  Please make a copy as you will need to submit this electronically with your district application.

Students who currently receive special education services can submit an interest form, but a meeting must be held prior to acceptance to determine if the specific learning environment can meet the student's needs as expressed in the IEP.
